About Score Research

Score Research commenced trading in 1994 initially as a trading name for the the sole trader and founder Ian Malcolm.  From 1997 we traded as a partnership and as Private Limited Company since October 2004.  Growth has been funded enitrely from revenue. In February 2006 Atos Consulting acquired Score Research, its substantial benchmarking database and other Intellectual Property.  Atos Consulting have committed to ensuring the continuing independence of Score Research benchmarking services

 Score Research received early recognition for innovation when it was awarded Accountancy Age's 'Research of the Year Award ' for research into 'Benchmarking the Finance Function'  in 1995 - The research, conducted over twelve-months, compared performance between thirteen organisations including Siemens, BT, British Gas, BICC and Tarmac.  The research was supported by Arthur Andersen and contributed to their 'Global Best Practice Knowledge Bank'.

In 2001 we commenced our FASSBEX programme aimed at comparing performance and sharing learning.  The programme was influential in us building a community web site FASSBEX.COM to encourage exchange between shared and outsourced service operators and providers.  Today the community numbers more than a thousand registered members and receives approximately 30,000 hits p.a.

During 2002 we launched a number of web-based hosted services for performance benchmarking and management.
